VV-RV series

Adsorbers of the VV-RV series have a stable valve part made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide and are designed with a refillable adsorber cartridge. Thus, they have a long maintenance interval and favorable maintenance costs.

With the valve part, adsorbers of the series are optimally suited for extreme, dusty ambient conditions. They are used, for example, on hydraulic power units, gearboxes or storage tanks. Due to the large valve cross-sections, pressure build-up is minimal even at high air flows. The activated carbon layer and slosh protection serve to separate escaping oil mist. This ensures cyclical self-regeneration and thus very long maintenance intervals.

Technical Data


The sucked air opens the valves in the lower part of the adsorber at approx. 5 mbar. After flowing into the adsorber, the air is distributed evenly over the cross-section. The pre-filter disk frees the air from coarse dirt particles.

When flowing through the silica gel, the water molecules are safely removed from the air. The gap volume of the granules is optimally selected with 2 to 5 mm grains and guarantees a minimum pressure build-up with very good drying efficiency at the same time. Thus, at the beginning of the drying process, a residual air humidity of max. 2 % rH and a dew point of -40 °C are achieved. Due to the water absorption, the silica gel in the standard changes color from orange to green. A complete green coloration indicates the end of the product life cycle. The 3 µm filter ensures that all dirt particles are separated from the ambient air and the silica gel and that the connected equipment is not contaminated.

In the case of outgoing air, the two-stage sloshing protection prevents larger oil droplets from penetrating the desiccant. The activated carbon also adsorbs the finest oil particles, thus enabling the adsorber to regenerate itself.

Adsorbers of the VV-RV series are made of polycarbonate, polyamide, aluminum, silica gel orange, FKM and can be used for aeration of all common hydraulic and gear oils and lubricants, fuels, isocyanates.

Sustainability starts with using product components for as long as their life cycle allows and replacing only those components that show signs of wear. With our spare parts kits for the refillable adsorber series, we ensure that you can replace each individual component of an adsorber as needed.

For example, the desiccant in our adsorbers becomes loaded during use, increasingly loses its ability to adsorb moisture and needs to be replaced, but the adsorber housing is particularly durable. Our refillable adsorbers can therefore be easily opened and the desiccant replaced. Seals, particle filters & activated carbon discs, on the other hand, can withstand a few replacement cycles, depending on the load. However, we recommend replacing them after 4-5 replacement cycles at the latest to ensure smooth operation of the adsorbers.

Our spare parts kits include seals, particle filters, activated carbon discs and other components that match the respective adsorber series. The matching desiccants for the adsorbers are available separately and in different size classes.
