There are substances that are aerated and turn the silica gel orange purple on contact. In principle, orange gel turns a dark green or white when it comes into contact with water. However, amines and AdBlue, among others, which evaporate from a tank and enter the adsorber, can discolor the silica gel purple. This silica gel is no longer able to absorb water and must be replaced.
